bay street, just south of bloor.

my new wide angle zoom lens (canon ef-s 10-22) arrived and I'm putting it to some tests. so far I'm very impressed with it. this was shot from inside our friend Marjan's car while I held the camera out the sunroof shooting a number of shots blindly, hoping for a good composition.

update: thanks for all the comments. to answer a few questions, I used a circular polarizer to get the deep blue sky and processed two exposures from Capture One and combined them in Photoshop to get details in both highlights and shadows. The usual perspective and distortion correction and colour adjustments have been done in photoshop.

and although it might be obvious to some, this photo is inspired by racing video games. and the fact that I played the new Outrun 2006 on PSP for a number of hours in the weekend might have something to do with it too!
