locks and strings || Sony DSLR A700 | Zeiss135f1.8 | 1/250s | f2 | ISO640 | Handheld
Shot on Adelaide street, west of Princess.
Thanks to Peter from Sony, I have a Sony DSLR A700 camera for a month to play with. With it came an amazing Zeiss 135mm f1.8 prime lens. I've had it for a day only but am very impressed by how responsive the camera is. Image quality is great, but what's most impressive is how it handles the exposures, especially in highlights. It seems like the dynamic range of the images from this camera have more latitude in highlights than I'm used to see. It also has excellent metering. This shot was among the first 10 shots I took with the camera, so more will come when I get a little more comfortable with the Alpha700.
