star trails captured in a 5 minutes exposure. being far away from the light pollution of the city happens rarely for me and is essential for photos like this.
this was shot two weekends ago at a friend's cottage by a beautiful lake in Québec.

UPDATE: the trees are lit from the dim light that was coming from the cottage. I didn't paint them with light.
