as some of you have already noticed from the last couple of posts, at long last I got a 17-40 canon L series lens and have been playing with it over the weekend. this has replaced my faithful kit lens. the only things I miss about the ef-s 18-55 lens are the weight and size of it, but the build quality of an L lens alone is worth almost anything. and one other thing is, because the thread size the 17-40 lens is 77mm; the filters for it are way more expensive than smaller size filters.
